enjoying the Celebration Package. The Horton Grand Hotel is a Historic
Victorian Style Boutique Hotel nestled in the heart of the vibrant and
entertaining Gaslamp District. Each of the individually appointed guest
rooms feature period decor, gas burning fireplaces, hand carved armoires
and lace curtains. Your package will include overnight accomodations for
two with a complimentary upgrade to a balcony room if available at
check-in, your choice of either a bottle of champagne, red or white
wine, or a bottle of non-alcohol sparkling cider upon check-in and Full
American Breakfast for two in Ida Bailey's Restaurant in the morning.
The Celebration Package includes all taxes and gratuities and is based
upon availability at time of booking. Overnight Valet Parking is not
included in the package rate. |

Horton Grand is a landmark Victorian hotel built in 1886. The hotel is
located in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown, near Horton Plaza. The hotel
is always ready to welcome you with the special charm and personal
service that will make every stay a memorable one. You can experience
the elegance of the Victorian Era at the hotel, a superbly crafted
re-creation of San Diego history and Victorian architecture. Each of the
107 rooms are individually decorated with ceiling fans, fireplaces and
antiques. This wonderful package include one nights accommodations and
two tickets on the Ghosts and Gravestones Tour. All aboard for San
Diego's premier "FRIGHTSEEING"sm tour as we mix some of the city's
gravest moments with a good dose of humor, magic and mystery that is
sure to have everyone dying for more! Old Town Trolley Tours®, in
conjunction with the San Diego Historical Society, Gaslamp Quarter
Historical Foundation and SOHO, present a spine tingling trolley and
walking tour of some of San Diego's most haunted sites. On the tour
segments, you will visit the Whaley House, believed to be one of the
most haunted houses in America. Here you will hear the story of the
Whaley family, and of the many ghosts that still haunt the house today.
You'll also visit the Villa Montezuma. Once the home of spiritualist
Jesse Shepard, this beautiful Victorian home is full of mystery, and
offers a glimpse into the life of one of San Diego's most eccentric
residents. A visit to the William Heath Davis house in the historic
Gaslamp Quarter, and a spirited walking tour through one of the oldest
cemeteries in San Diego round out this fun and entertaining tour.
Beginning mid-October 2003, you might even solve the "Who Done It"
mystery! The tour is approximately two hours in length. Good walking
shoes and a jacket are recommended. Dying to take the tour? Must be 8
years or older to board the tour. Advance reservations are required.
